Which came first, dawn or dusk?
A circle has no beginning.
In an instant, how fast is an arrow?
It flies at every speed.
Why is night dark?
Because the universe is expanding.
What is the speed of darkness?
The same as the speed of light.
But what is the speed of light?
The same for everybody.
Is light a wave or a particle?
That depends on how you look at it.
How did the chicken cross the road?
By a sum over every path.
When did the wind shift?
When a butterfly flapped its wings.
Why did the apple fall?
Because space-time is curved.
Why don’t I fall through the floor?
Because electrons have spin one-half.
Why doesn’t the Earth stop turning?
Because any direction is as good as any other.
Why doesn’t the sun go out?
Because any time is as good as any other.
Why doesn’t the moon fall from the sky?
Because any place is as good as any other.
Why don’t rivers run backwards?
Because you can’t unscramble an egg.
Then why can’t you unscramble an egg?
Because rivers don’t run backwards.
Is there intelligent life in the universe?
How would you know?
